With so many factors being tied to the war between Russia and Ukraine, many are trying to get a grasp on the situation to better situate themselves, or to just make sense of it.
Understanding something that you’ve never been a part of can be a difficult task, and that’s why we’ve brought in a special guest who has over two decades of experience with combat and war, Mark Gasparotto.
Gasparotto served in the Canadian Army for 21 years as a combat engineer. He was responsible for ensuring friendly forces were able to be mobile, while simultaneously doing their part to ensure the enemy wasn’t able to be mobile or counterstrike on the the friendly forces. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to boots-on-the-ground combat, having served in places including Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Haiti.
Watch the full interview below to hear Gasparotto’s insight into leadership under pressure, and the war that is still unfolding in Ukraine.
