RealAg Radio, April 25: Nitrogen strategies, managing corn residue and talking tree lines

Happy Monday and welcome to the last week of April, where we seem to have a complete mixed bag of conditions across the country.

To no surprise, Alberta and western Saskatchewan are among the driest, with Manitoba getting rain and snow storm after rain and snow storm, pushing seeding back even farther than anticipated. At any rate, we certainly hope things start to warm up and dry out for them out there and if you are in (or getting ready to get in) the field, we hope it’s smooth sailing for everyone this seeding and planting season.

On today’s Agronomic Monday edition of RealAg Radio, host Shaun Haney and RealAgriculture’s Peter “Wheat Pete” Johnson are going to hash out a number of topics including:

  • Nitrogen strategies;
  • Soil temperature tells;
  • Corn residue management; and,
  • Tree lines and removal.

Don’t forget to check out The Agronomists tonight at 8PM E/6 PM MT!
