Ontario opens information sessions for On-Farm Climate Action Fund beginning July 11

by

The Ontario Soil & Crop Improvement Association is administering the federal government On-Farm Climate Action Fund, and details have just been announced for farmers interested in applying.

The program guide has just been released today, July 11, and the organization is hosting a series of online information sessions to help farmers decide which stream of the program is applicable, how to apply, and to review what is and is not eligible under the cost-share program.

OFCAF is focused on encouraging the addition of three practices on farms: cover crops that are not terminated in the fall, rotational grazing of pasture, and managing nitrogen fertilizer losses.

You can find the program guide, here.

The application intake begins in early August. When open, you can apply here.
