Efficiency and safety are two top priorities on many farming operation and an Alberta-based company has combined both with their PTO controller.
Vincent Pawluski, owner and inventor of RC FarmArm, says the their controller not only streamlines operations, but also ensures safety on the job, as well.
“What the product does is it takes all the controls of the tractor that you need to operate stationary PTO work, outside of the cab, and on a single remote, but also includes an actual safety stock that you have when you’re at the hopper or the bagger where the danger is, and it keeps you away from running around to get in and out of the truck or tractor,” he says.
The controller was initially brought to life for Pawluski’s own need for it. After pushing publish on a tweet about what he created, he was soon asked to replicate it for others in the industry; from there, RC FarmArm was born.
Pawluski takes care of every aspect of the product in-house including the design, circuitry and even the 3D printing of the product itself. The assembly, testing, packaging and shipping is also all done in-house by Pawluski and his team, efforts that have paid off well for them as they received the innovation award at Canada’s Farm Show, last year in 2021.
With the design and circuitry being done in-house, Pawluski says the limitations for model compatibility, are few.
“It’s only limited to what we draw, or our time, so we go after the the models that are the most popular; the customers kind of drive us to where we get requests for this tractor and then we go to that one and and make a model that fits overtop of it,” he says.
Pawluski still puts in hours in the fields as a farmer, however, they have scaled back their total number of acres to focus their attention on bringing RC FarmArm to farmers all across the globe.
