Poll: Progress on pricing N

by

Pricing and sourcing nitrogen and other fertilizer for the 2022 season was difficult and expensive. While many assumed the events and situations that caused much of the problem — Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, pandemic-affected ports, etc. — would have subsided by now, the opposite seems more likely.

With a natural gas crisis in the EU closing fertilizer plants, a continued war in Ukraine, and now a hurricane season shuttering phosphorus production in the U.S., there are those who feel fertilizer prices are only going to climb steadily from here though to the growing season, well surpassing the painful prices of this season.

We want to know: have you locked in N prices yet?
