New tractor added to John Deere's 5M lineup allows for different tire options

by

John Deere’s 5M utility tractor series lineup is getting new attention at the ground level with the 2023 models.

With the new model, the series now boasts a range of 75 horsepower to 130 horsepower, with the ability to either have cast wheels or steel wheels.

If you do choose the cast wheels, says Greg Christensen of John Deere, you’ll have the capability to put duels on the tractor as well.

“We added a rack and pinion axel to this tractor,” he explains. “[What it does] is give you more variability to space the tires where you want to put them. So if you’re bailing over wide wind rows, you can space them out. If you want them a little narrower to get into some row crop spacing, you can suck them in and have a narrower tractor.”

The tractor also comes AutoTrac capable, and is fully capable with all of the technology you can find on the larger tractors.
