What resource do you turn to first when choosing new varieties or hybrids?

Depending on the crop type, new varieties or hybrids might show up on a farm’s acres nearly annually or once a decade.

There’s just so much riding on genetics, that it takes quite a bit for a new name or number to earn acres. Whether it’s the quick turnover of corn and canola offerings, or the market-driven swap out of malting barley lines, plenty goes in to the decision to choose a new top-yielding contender.

That leads us to this week’s poll. We want to know —  Where do you turn to first when evaluating the next up-and-comer?
