by

The MA-405 grain moisture tester is portable, accurate, and allows growers to test grain in the field, an improvement over traditional desktop model moisture testers.

Nicholas Matichuk, salesperson with Prairie Grain Analyzers, says the MA-405 moisture tester is also more accurate in comparison to desktop models.

The unit has the ability to measure over 50 different crops at hot or cold temperatures. Matichuk emphasizes the advantages of the MA-405 are that it is lightweight and portable and runs on a rechargeable battery. With a battery life of five to eight hours of continuous use, it will last growers up to two weeks, he adds.

Prairie Grain Analyzers, based at Winnipeg, sells analysis equipment such as moisture testers, protein analyzers, and bin monitoring systems.

Matichuk says the MA-405 The MA-405 costs $2,900 and comes with a two-year warranty and a 1-year return policy.
