ADAMA Canada expands Prairie agronomy team

by

ADAMA Canada has announced it is expanding its agronomy team for the Prairies beginning in January 2023.

“We’ve experienced strong growth as farmers have found we’re able to offer a reliable supply and excellent selection of quality crop protection products. We are now investing in increased technical product support for our retail partners and our farmer customers,” says Cornie Thiessen, general manager of ADAMA Canada.

Thiessen says the company plans to have four agronomists in place early in the new year, and may add more positions in the future.

The new team of agronomists will provide product knowledge and demonstrations, coordinate trials, develop information packages and advise on product development, according to ADAMA Canada.

Thiessen says this move is part of a plan to introduce new products, while managing supply chains and offering customer support in the west.

“We are looking for people who have a strong knowledge of the Canadian ag market and who can communicate the science behind our products clearly and effectively,” said Thiessen. “Farming today demands having the best advice possible from highly trained experts.”
