Agriculture in the Classroom Canada (AITC-C) is extending its best wishes as Johanne Ross, founding executive director of the organization, steps back.
Having spent seven years as the founding executive director, Ross was instrumental to the establishment and growth of the national organization. Her many accomplishments included raising the profile of AITC-C at the national level and securing financial support from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), as well as many sector partners.
Ross came to the national organization after 16 years as the executive director of Agriculture in the Classroom Manitoba, in her home province. In 2021, she was inducted into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame in recognition of her contributions to the agriculture and food sector.
Ross’s final day with AITC-C will be February 9, 2023.
