Bindapt wifi bin monitor wins Ag Days ag tech innovation award

by

Knocking on the bin to see how much grain is left in there could eventually be phased out by new tech.

A wifi bin monitor is an example of this, and just such a thing won first place at Manitoba Ag Days Innovation Showcase in the Ag Tech Category.

The Bindapt Bin Monitor, by Adaptive Agriculture Solutions Inc. (Adaptive Ag), comes as either a wifi-capable or cellular-based monitoring solution, and runs on the same web-based application platform as the Binadapt Plus and Pro grain drying solutions.

The wifi bin monitor features its in-bin cable reading technology, coupled with an optional headspace temperature monitor, humidity sensor, carbon dioxide, and lidar bin levelling system.

Dustin Maki, product manager for Adaptive Ag, was on site at Manitoba Ag Days to discuss the monitoring system.

“The big sell is that we’re offering it with no annual costs. So once you get the device on your farm, similar to any sort of smart device โ€” your Alexa, or Google Home โ€” it’s just going to run on your local network, while providing that information.”
