Two new tractors will be added to Kioti’s line-up with the arrival of the HX Series later in 2023.
The Wendell, North Carolina-headquartered company is touting the new additions for their efficiency, versatility and operator comfort. In this interview at the National Farm Machinery Show at Louisville, Kentucky, Kioti product development manager Joel Hicks shares what farmers can expect from the new HX9010 and HX1151 models, which will become the largest tractors in the Kioti lineup.
“This unit is going to give us an opportunity to utilize the years of experience in our vertical integration,” says Hicks. “We’ve got a new Kioti-produced 3.8 litre power plant. So it’s going to give us opportunity to expand our product offering horsepower wise. We’ll start out with a 90 and 150 horsepower unit.”
Kioti is also bringing a new front axle to the market with an outboard planetary drive that delivers better durability. “We’re also going to offer a limited slip front differential. That gives us about 55 per cent more traction over open differential,” Hicks notes.
Operators will also see changes to the cab, including the integration of an instructor’s seat, a ‘smart’ armrest that integrates electronic hitch controls with the touch of a button, as well as excellent visibility.
In the video, Hicks also comments on where the versatile tractor fits on the farm.
