Ontario Provincial Police is investigating the theft of 30 thousand 15-day-old chickens from a farm in Huron County.
Police say the young birds were taken from a farm in South Huron between 3:30pm Wednesday and 2:20am on Thursday — an undertaking that would require specific knowledge about barn equipment and animal handling.
The value of the missing flock is estimated at $42 thousand, or $1.40 per bird.
