Grain Growers of Canada (GGC) has announced Tyler Bjornson & Associates will be providing interim leadership for the organization while it searches for a new executive director.
Erin Gowriluk, who led GGC for the past five years, moved into the role of president of the Canada Grains Council as of this week.
“Erin has been a tireless advocate for Canadian grain farmers, and her leadership has been instrumental in advancing the interests of our members,” says GGC chair Andre Harpe. “We wish her all the best in her new role.”
In a case of role reversal, Gowriluk replaced Bjornson in leading the Grains Council.
“Tyler and his team have a proven track record of providing strong leadership during transition periods, and we are confident in their ability to continue advancing the interests of our members,” noted Harpe.
The status of Grain Growers’ policy and government relations manager position is also to be determined, as Branden Leslie is currently seeking the nomination for the Conservative Party of Canada in the riding of Portage-Lisgar in southern Manitoba.
GGC says a job posting and call for interested applications will be shared in the coming days.
