What would you try if you knew you couldn’t fail?
Fear can be very motivating (ever been chased by a bull in a pasture?) but fear — of failure, of success, of the unknown — can also be paralyzing.
Each person’s experience with fear is different, but it’s the very real stories of overcoming fear that can help to motivate, reassure, and encourage others to push beyond the here and now.
One person willing to share her story is Dr. Cami Ryan, industry affairs and sustainability lead for Bayer CropScience. In this episode of Mind Your Farm Business, Ryan shares her journey to becoming a social scientist relatively late in life compared to her peers, and how fear and doubt held her back for so long.
Ryan also discusses how avoidance of decision making out of fear can really hold us back from success and how the people around us can play such a crucial role in our growth as humans and as business leaders.
