After 100 years in business, the Farmall tractor brand now boasts an electric model.
Earlier this year, Case IH announced that the new electric drive Farmall 75C would be available to farmers for 2024. In this report from Agritechnica 23, CNH product specialist Florian Gessner shares some of the features of the new tractor after its European unveiling at the ag innovation showcase at Hanover, Germany.
Gessner tells RealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin that the 75 hp tractor now features an electrified drive train, replacing a standard diesel engine. He adds that the Farmall 75C has instant torque and delivers diesel-like performance and power.
The tractor has AC and DC charging options with the battery capable of charging from 10 to 80 per cent in less than an hour with DC fast charging.
Gessner also notes a range of autonomous features available on the tractor, including ‘follow me’ mode, a new AI guidance system that recognizes hand signals from the operator to guide the tractor’s movement.
