The Case IH 715 Quadtrac, the most powerful commercially-produced tractor in the world, attracted plenty of attention during its debut at Agritechnica 23 in Hanover, Germany.
With a 715 horsepower-rated, 778 peak horsepower engine, the tractor delivers built-in power and speed to cover more ground in less time, but it’s also nimble, says CNH Industrial’s Tobias Pachler.
In this interview from the floor at Agritechnica, Pachler discusses the Quadtrac’s new design, which includes a new engine for higher power and more torque.
The tractor touts a new FPT Industrial brand C16 twin-stage-turbine engine developed in collaboration with Case IH specifically for this tractor. There’s also an increased fuel capacity of up to 520 gal, which means more time spent in the field.
Pachler notes that the new tractor also introduces the new heavy-duty Quadtrac undercarriage that offers increased traction to keep up with the engine’s horsepower. (See the video below.)
