Massey Ferguson plans to deliver the most powerful tractor it has ever produced for fall 2024.
The MF 9S Series includes six models with power ranging from 285 to 425 horsepower. The tractor drew plenty of eyeballs at Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany. Beyond the power boost, the manufacturer also says it’s the most straightforward tractor it’s ever built and sports the best power-to-weight ration in its class for maximum versatility.
In this report, Massey Ferguson’s Antoine Blaineau notes that the large frame MF 9S is powered by an economical 8.4-litre, six-cylinder AGCO Power engine and comes equipped with a Dyna-VT transmission.
Billed as Massey’s new flagship tractor, Blaineau says the MF 9S boosts an innovative Protect-U design that delivers more power, comfort, control and automation. In the cab, the new design prevents vibrations while improving visibility and reducing in-cab noise levels.
Operators can look for higher levels of automation to reduce operator fatigue with options including MF AutoTurn, AutoHeadland, ISOBUS Tractor Implement Management and a central tire inflation system. Watch the full report below.
