How big of a high-horsepower tractor will you one day run on your farm?

There are at least two options for increasing efficiency on the farm: use wider, larger equipment or use smaller technology that gets the job done faster.

In the race between larger equipment and automation, which class do you think is winning? (Hint: it’s bigger engines and wider equipment).

This week was Commodity Classic in Houston, Texas. When they say everything’s bigger there, they mean it; and that certainly was the case as John Deere rolled out its newest, biggest tractor boasting over 800 HP.

And that means we want to know — is 800 enough? Too much? Where do you think your farm HP will top out for a tractor?
