Loralee Orr has been named as Canada Commercial Leader for Corteva Agriscience.
Orr will remain based at Corteva’s Canadian head office at Calgary, Alberta, where she will lead the organization as it delivers a pipeline of new seed and crop protection solutions to Canadian farmers in the years ahead.
Orr takes over from Jeremy Dirks, who moves to vice-president of Corteva’s global corn portfolio.
Originally from Manitoba, Orr brings more than 27 years of commercial seed and crop protection experience to the role. She has held several leadership positions within Corteva, including communications leader, marketing communications leader, sales leader and, most recently, marketing leader.
A strong advocate for Canadian growers, Orr is a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s Agriculture program, represents Corteva on the board of CleanFarms Canada, and serves on the CropLife Canada chemistry committee.
“Five years ago, Corteva was formed as the only agriscience company 100 per cent dedicated to agriculture,” said Orr. “I am proud of how we’ve secured our place as a leading Canadian seed and crop science business thanks to our customer focus and powerhouse R&D engine. I am honoured to lead the Canadian business as we continue to grow, evolve and innovate to meet the needs of farmers now and in the future.”
