GSI Connect mobile app helps growers manage grain storage

by

GSI wants to tell farmers everything they need to know about the grain they have in storage. The company is touting its GSI Connect grain dryer app as a mobile-first solution that provides monitoring and remote control of GSI grain dryers to help growers improve quality, minimize risk and save on operational costs.

“It’s an application that gives users the ability to see exactly what’s happening with their system, make adjustments, see history, really anything that they need to do during that operational season to give them peace of mind and comfort,” says GSI product manager Alan Lockwood.

In this report from Commodity Classic in Houston, Texas, Lockwood shares how the GSI Connect app offers quick access to dryers in a user-friendly platform. Instead of deep menus and multiple steps, it provides easy-to-understand colours and images to show what’s happening in the dryer, including output data, component status, and temperature and moisture.

Using GSI Connect, farmers can adjust set points, fan settings, load settings and even stop the dryer, all with the ease of their smartphone. There’s no need for farmers to spend their days and nights close to the dryer to protect their investment — the app makes it easy, setting text alerts and push notifications to keep them in the loop, says Lockwood.

GSI Connect also integrates portable and quiet dryers, dryer sensors and other processing capabilities to provide the data needed to optimize decision-making and profit potential, adds Lockwood. Watch the full report below.
