Farmers are looking for two things during harvest: efficiency and a clean sample. When time to combine is limited, ground speed increases and minimizing grain loss while maximizing sample quality can make a large difference on a farmer’s bottom line.
As Tyson Sanderson of Bushel Plus says in this interview from Ag in Motion, all of these were factors in designing the new O-Grate Concave. Building on the original MAD Concave design, the new O-Grate Concave helps growers to keep a cleaner tank with less cracking, less rotor loss, and an increase in ground speed, he says.
The new concave has a ramp effect with an impact point that is not as aggressive as a threshing bar, but is a threshing curve instead, says Sanderson.
