Snobelen Farms Ltd. has completed a $2 million upgrade to its grain handling facility at the Brantford location.
“Snobelen Farms is dedicated to serving our growers with the highest level of service. These upgrades reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction,” says Troy Tate, location manager at the Brantford facility. The investment in new equipment and technology enhances the company’s ability to provide fast, reliable and efficient service to valued growers, the company says.
Upgrades include:
- A new commercial receiving pit, drag and elevator system, all with a 16,000 bushel takeaway capacity. This modern equipment replaces the previous system, making it 2.5 times faster
- New downspouts, allowing all wet grain storage tanks to be filled at full capacity
- New grain handling equipment integrated into the existing automation system, for streamlined operations and smooth flow of grain throughout the facility
- A complete overhaul of the second commercial receiving pit and elevator
“We want our growers to be in, out and back in their combines as seamlessly as possible,” says Tate, adding that these upgrades add increased capacity, so growers can expect reduced wait times and more flexibility in scheduling deliveries.
