Alberta wheat and barley producers will have the opportunity in the next couple of months to see where their checkoff dollars have been going and have their voices heard when it comes to the future direction of the commission.
Alberta Grains has officially announced their upcoming annual meetings and they will span across six regions within Alberta from October 28 until November 15.
In regions four, five and six, Alberta Grains will be working with Alberta Pulse Growers to bring producers sessions on current topics like water policy, agronomy and farm management. Regions one, two and three will have presentations by internal experts.
Tara Sawyer, Alberta Grains chair and Region 2 director says, “Consider this my personal invitation to Alberta’s 18,000 barley and wheat farmers to attend their regional event and find out what we’re up to and tell us what they think.”
Meetings are free to attend, include a complimentary lunch, and each attendee will have the chance to win a $500 WestJet gift card.
