Kaylie Krys did not think she would one day end up teaching at the college that kicked off her post-secondary education. Through practicing public speaking and judging with both 4-H and at the club level in college, Krys has combined her interest in rangeland management and livestock with new technology and leveraged both into a teaching career in the Environmental Sciences program at Lakeland College at Vermilion, Alta.
In this episode of The Successors podcast, host Paige Warner is joined by Krys to hear about her post-secondary learning journey, where travel has taken her and how she was able to build on her interest in drone technology all the way in San Ignacio, Belize, to help them find a fit for drones and Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) in an agriculture course there.
Listen below as Krys shares more about her background and her journey through her master’s program at the University of Saskatchewan, all the way to teaching at Lakeland now.
