There’s plenty of jobs on the the farm and John Deere has two new Gators to help farmers and ranchers get the work done.
In this report from the Farm Progress Show at Boone, Iowa, Deere’s go-to-market manager for Gator utility vehicles, Eric Halfman discusses the new gas Gator XUV 845 and diesel Gator XUV 875 utility vehicles, including options for integrated precision ag technology, a larger, more versatile cargo box, and added comfort and convenience.
“We worked with farmers across the U.S. and Canada to make this machine more versatile for all the work they do on the farm,” says Halfman.
He notes that the new models have a noticeably improved sound quality due to a new exhaust system, providing a more pleasant ride. Other improvements on the Gator XUV 845 and Gator XUV 875 include a new location for the air intake, raising it by 12 inches, drawing air from the best location to protect the engine.
“The new models also carry a redesigned cargo box that provides 13 per cent more space than our previous model, making it a class leader in cargo box volume and allowing you to carry more in one trip,” notes Halfman.
The Gators also come precision ag ready. Each can be customized to include a factory-installed GreenStar Ready option, giving owners the ability to add a StarFire receiver and universal display to the machine. The JDLink modem will also be included, enabling the Gator to be integrated into the John Deere Operations Center. Watch the video below.
