It’s no secret that farmers are looking for more productivity for their farm machinery dollar.
A key part of that farming formula is capacity, specifically larger equipment that can get more done in a day and help cover the big acres that many farmers are working across vast tracks of land.
Saskatchewan-based Bourgault Industries has been feeding that hunger for seeding and fertilizer capacity for a number of years, but the company is now expanding their focus to ensure they’re delivering that capacity without complexity, says Colin Rush, Bourgault’s North American sales and marketing leader.
The company just wrapped up its North American product launch meetings with dealers, and farmers can expect to see more simplicity from new high-capacity tools emerging from the Bourgault product pipeline. “We really talked about this transformation from what we call Bourgault 1.0, which was everything that got us here over the first 50 years, to what we call Bourgault 2.0, which is a transformation where we step on the accelerator and we go with new offerings, new technologies, and new agronomic flexibility tools for our customers.”
In this video report, Rush and RealAgriculture host Bernard Tobin take a look at the new 7-plex folding 3545 Paralink Hoe Drill the company will roll out for the 2026 model year. It comes in common widths from 80 to 100 feet and folds conventionally into an ultra-narrow transport envelope. It also combines optimized transport dimensions, without sacrificing options, productivity, application rates, flotation, or trash flow, says Rush.
A new Wing Tank option that will be available for the company’s 2026 model year 9000 I Series air cart. This option, available on the L9950 and 91300 air carts, will make the 91300 the largest tow behind air seeder on the market at 1366 bushels. Rush says the Wing Tank, with 66 bushels of useable fill volume, will increase customer productivity and agronomic flexibility without a separate filling or loading system.
The company has also made a significant leap into the ag technology market with release of the Bourgault Intelligent Control (BiC). The innovative seed controller is fully wireless within the tractor cab and combines simplicity and intuitiveness along with advanced features, options, and integration with OEM tractor monitor controls.
Rush says the BiC controller strikes a unique balance of simplicity and complexity: “It’s not your grandfather’s seed controller, but he could run it.”
The company is also rolling out the Bourgault Builder — a tool that will allow customers to explore the Bourgault equipment lineup and customize product choices. Watch the interview below.
