Brandt’s latest agricultural innovation, the 1345B U-Trough auger, is built to meet farmers’ diverse grain handling needs. Released as a second-generation model following the original U-Trough auger launch in 2021, this updated version offers improved performance and increased versatility based on real farmer feedback.
The 1345B stands out for its two intake options, enabling it to adapt to various bin yard configurations, both new and old. “We are the only ones that offer two intakes,” says Anthony Biglieni, Brandt’s Sales Manager for Canada and the Northwestern U.S. “We can work with a new grain bin that’s been built and designed in 2024 or one in a bin yard you’ve inherited, or was your grandpa’s, and had those bins built in 1984.”
The high-capacity intake is designed for maximum throughput, while the low-profile intake is ideal for handling wide-diameter hoppers or low bin unloads.
Built for all types of crops, the 1345B offers torque as well as speed, essential for managing challenging grains. “We’ve put a priority on torque and speed, not just speed,” Biglieni explains. This balanced performance enables the auger to handle tough grains, even in less-than-ideal conditions.
Ease of use is another hallmark of the 1345B. Farmers have praised the model’s accessible design, upgraded clutch, and gearbox. “Ease of operation, where everything’s accessible from a ground level, has been a key feedback item,” Biglieni notes. Brandt offers demos of the 1345B through dealers across Western Canada, with a planned U.S. launch in 2025.
For farmers looking to increase efficiency, the 1345B U-Trough auger offers a reliable solution that meets both traditional and modern bin yard needs. More information is available at brandt.ca or through local dealers.
