Farmer feedback leads to big improvements on Horsch’s Leeb VL sprayer

by

While the initial launch of a new piece of equipment is always exciting, feedback from the farmers that use it in the field can help to make some pretty impressive improvements.

In the case of Horsch’s Leeb VL sprayer this has meant a bigger tank, bigger booms, a bigger engine, easy to change fenders, changes to the ladder and even an improved cab, says Mike Wasylyniuk of Horsch as RealAgriculture’s Amber Bell catches up with him at Agri-Trade at Red Deer, Alta.

When talking sprayers, the meat and potatoes of spraying is tank size and boom size says Wasylyniuk, both of which have been made larger on the Leeb VL. The spring of 2025 will see a 2,140-gallon mega-tank and a 160-foot boom on new units.

While this might not work for every farm, it will really help for growers with wide open and flat fields, explains Wasylyniuk.
