New Deere C-Series air carts ready to roll for 2025

by

Farmers across Western Canada can expect to see plenty of new John Deere C-Series air carts rolling through fields in spring 2025.

The company had 30 of the air carts in action across the Prairies and the western U.S. in 2024 and farmers will see the full lineup in the upcoming year. The C-Series includes five carts that range from 350 to 650 bushels — all available in leading and trailing models — and a trailing-only 850-bushel cart, in the new year.

In this report from the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Convention in Kansas City, Deere’s go-to-market manager for planting and seeding equipment, Anthony Styczinski, discusses C-Series innovations that promise to increase seeding-time productivity, quality and accuracy.

Styczinski says the innovation starts with new corrosion-resistant AccuRate stainless steel, electronically controlled meters which offer electronic control at a primary level. That includes curve compensation for better seed and fertilizer placement and rate control.

There’s also the AccuRate meter bank which contains up to eight individually controlled meters per tank. It carries the ability to change the speed and volume of each meter on the go and adapt to conditions as they change throughout the day.

Styczinski says C-Series cart operators will also appreciate faster calibrations with the EZCal calibration system. This push-button calibration system is up to 75 percent faster than the current manual bag calibration system. Listen to the full report below.
