Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP) has announced the hiring of a new general manager.
“Following an extensive recruiting process, I am pleased to announce that our board of directors has selected Colin Hornby as the new general manager of KAP,” says KAP president and Portage, Man.-area farmer Jill Verwey, in a Jan. 20 news release.
Hornby has worked with Manitoba’s general farm organization since 2022 as manager of communications and stakeholder relations. He previously worked as a political staffer in government at both the provincial and federal levels, providing strategic advice to senior staff and cabinet ministers.
He replaces Brenna Mahoney, who stepped down from the role in November. Mahoney now manages government and public affairs for BASF in Canada.
