SaskOilseeds’ new branding reflects vision of growing producer prosperity

After its official launch last August, SaskOilseeds now has a new brand look and identity for the organization formed from the amalgamation of  SaskCanola and SaskFlax.

After the Saskatchewan Crops Forum earlier this month, SaskOilseeds executive director Tracy Broughton sat down with RealAgriculture’s Shaun Haney to discuss the organizational changes with the merger of Sask Canola and Sask Flax into SaskOilseeds.

She notes that the amalgamation aims to streamline operations and reduce administrative costs, especially for the flax industry.

Broughton describes the new branding, including a simplified logo representing research and investment in crop development, and how it reflects SaskOilseeds’ vision of growing producer prosperity. The branding, which aims for a clean look with green and neutral colours to highlight the beauty of flax and canola fields, received positive feedback at the Crops Forum.

Haney and Broughton also discussed the sentiment among farmers regarding the 2025 crop year, focusing on political changes and potential U.S. tariffs. Broughton notes that there was more discussion at Crops Forum about the impact of U.S. tariffs on canola markets than the upcoming field season. Check out the interview below.
