Bushel Plus is expanding its global footprint with plans to offer its harvest optimization technology to U.S. farmers.
The Brandon, Manitoba-based company specializes in advanced agricultural solutions that help farmers reduce grain loss at harvest to maximize profits while saving time, fuel, and equipment wear.
The company’s products are currently sold in 35 countries, and have earned a reputation for reliability and effectiveness in the field, says Bushel Plus director of global marketing Courtney Baxter.
At the Commodity Classic in Denver, Colorado, Baxter told RealAgriculture that the company is actively building its distributor network through partnerships with leading U.S. farm machinery and precision ag dealers across key agricultural regions. “By collaborating with established dealers, we’re ensuring that American farmers have easy access to our top-tier tools, backed by expert support and service,” she says.
In this video report, Baxter notes that the expansion plan will see Bushel Plus bring a suite of harvest optimization tools to the U.S. market, including its flagship SmartPan System — a monitoring tool that collects and calculates grain loss with accurate data for precise, real-time calibration of combine settings.
The company will also offer its family of precision-engineered MAD Concaves. Unlike standard concaves that may require cover plates or the pulling of wires to achieve results, Baxter explains that MAD Concaves incorporate innovative grate designs that improve threshing efficiency and combine capacity while reducing grain damage.
U.S. farmers will also have access to the Bushel Plus MiniCombine, a battery-powered device that quickly collects crop samples for moisture testing ahead of harvest. The hand-held tool saves farmers time and money by eliminating the need to transport a combine, header, and truck to fields just to test pre-harvest crop moisture. Watch the report below.
