Growers looking to upgrade their John Deere planters can now get next level seed metering with the ExactEmerge and MaxEmerge 5e row unit kits.
In this report from Commodity Classic in Denver, Colorado, Kyle Barry, Deere’s manager of precision upgrades marketing, notes that the kits mean growers no longer have to purchase new row units to access ExactEmerge and MaxEmerge 5e meter upgrades.
Barry says the MaxEmerge 5e kit is an option for growers currently running model year 2015 and newer Deere planters. This kit will give growers access to the 20 per cent improvement in population accuracy with MaxEmerge 5e meters when planting at 5 mph.
Growers interested in higher speed solutions can choose the ExactEmerge which delivers brush belt technology for higher accuracy and speed. “With the economic times we’re in, it’s not always feasible for a customer to go buy a new planter,” says Barry. “We need to be able to allow them to do the most they can with what they have and that’s what our upgrades portfolio is all about.” Watch the video below.
