MORE ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Gregg Doud is president and CEO for the National Milk Producers Federation. Before arriving at NMPF he served as the Chief Agricultural Negotiator in the Office of the United States Trade Representative from 2018 until 2021; before that, he served as the president of the Commodity Markets Council, representing commodities exchanges before Congress and federal agencies. He also has served as a staff member for the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, where he helped draft the 2012 Farm Bill, and as chief economist for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Most recently, he worked at Aimpoint Research as its Vice President of Global Situational Awareness and Chief Economist.
Travis Toews is former Minister of Finance and President of the Treasury Board for the Province of Alberta and a cattle rancher.
He served as MLA for the Grande Prairie-Wapiti constituency from 2019-2023. Toews has worked on a number of non-profit boards as well as provincial and national industry boards including Alberta Beef Producers, the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance and served as president of the Canadian Cattle Association. He has worked globally to support Canadian interests in agriculture and international trade. He and his wife, Kim, own and manage a corporate cattle ranching
operation and an oilfield environmental company.

Oliver Ward is the international trade editor at Agri-Pulse.
Ward has several years of experience reporting and writing on trade and international economics for media outlets in the U.S. and abroad. He is the international trade editor at Agri-Pulse, joining in 2024 from Inside U.S. Trade — a print and digital trade publication. While a UK native, he has lived in the United States for almost seven years and currently resides at Washington, DC.
