GrainFox and AgResource announce proposed merger

by

GrainFox Corp. and AgResource Company have announced a proposed merger between the two companies.

AgResource provides agricultural research and advisory services, market intelligence and producer-focused insights, a complement to GrainFox’s data-driven platform for producers and commercial agribusinesses, the companies say.

Founded by Dan Basse in 1987, AgResource has offices in the United States and Brazil, bringing regional expertise and expanded commodity coverage that aligns with GrainFox’s strategic vision for international growth.

The companies say that AgResource’s market analysis experience will strengthen GrainFox’s existing market analysis expertise and its digital platform. Together, they will offer producers and commercial agribusinesses a combination of market expertise and AI-driven tools, informing decision-making in an increasingly complex global market.

“We’ve always believed that the best decisions are made at the intersection of insight and data,” says Basse. “By joining forces with GrainFox, we’re taking that belief to the next level, pairing our advisory expertise with powerful digital tools to help our clients succeed. This proposed merger allows us to grow our reach, expand our offerings, and continue delivering the market insights our clients depend on.”

As part of the proposed merger, GrainFox also gains an expanded bench of leading agricultural analysts and advisors. The addition of AgResource’s team enhances the depth and diversity of expertise behind the GrainFox platform.

“This is a meaningful evolution of our business,” says Mark Lepp, CEO of GrainFox. “By combining digital innovation with AgResource’s deep expertise, we’re strengthening the intelligence behind our tools and expanding the voices guiding our clients from bin to bank. This partnership allows us to scale thoughtfully while staying grounded in real-world insight.”

Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.
