Soy inoculant aims to deliver application flexibility without compromising quality

Inoculant and biologicals manufacturer XiteBio Technologies is offering a new formulation of its SoyRhizo inoculant that the company says delivers application flexibility without compromising quality.

XiteBio U.S. sales manager Doug Tigges says the key feature of the new SoyRhizo XV product is a reduced rate application. That benefits growers and seed dealers because “a lot of times they want to put other products, other seed treatments, on seed. This allows them to do it without sacrificing the inoculant quality that XiteBio is so well known for in the marketplace,” he adds.

The product is available in the U.S. for use in 2025 and Tigges expects the new formulation to be approved for Canadian growers for the 2026 growing season.

Tigges also stresses that SoyRhizo XV contains live bacteria. “We believe that growers will see more consistent performance if they’re using a product that has live bacteria in it. All our products are liquid formulations that contain an active that has live bacteria.”

In this report from the Commodity Classic in Denver, Colorado, Tigges and RealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin also discuss the company’s quality testing work at its lab in Winnipeg, Man.
