After four years in development, AGCO rolled out its new 3300 Command Series corn head at the Farm Progress Show earlier this month in Decatur, Illinois.
AGCO brand manager Kevin Bien told Real Agriculture the new corn head has been totally redesigned. “We call it the Command Series because it allows our customers to take command of the harvest situation, the dynamics they have in the field, and be able to do a better job.”
Bien says the 3300 Series will help farmers combine faster with reduced header loss. The corn head can chop both stalk and residue, promoting residue breakdown in the field. New roto-molded snouts also reduce the amount of trash into the feeder, increasing capacity and reducing ear loss in the field.

A new fore/aft adjustment on the corn head tilt feature will help farmers more effectively combine downed corn, he notes.
The 3300 Command Series will come standard with the corn header hood to prevent cobs from passing over the header opening. The corn heads are available in both 8 and 12 row (chopping and non-chopping) for Gleaner, Massey Ferguson and Challenger.
