TechTour Contest Rules and Regulations

CONTEST PERIOD:

The 2017 TechTour LIVE contest (the “Contest”) is being conducted by Dow AgroSciences Canada Inc. (“DAS”), Meridian Manufacturing Inc. (“Meridian”) and RealAgriculture (“RealAgriculture”) beginning March 13, 2016 and ends on July 20, 2017. The random draw from all qualifying entries will be made at 1:00pm on July 28, 2016.

ELIGIBILITY:

This contest is open to legal residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba who have reached the legal age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:

No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest or win.

HOW TO ENTER:

Each Entry requires a submission on an Entry Form. All entries to the Contest shall require an express consent opt-in to a RealAgriculture subscription, and DAS and Meridian electronic communications. The odds of winning a Prize depend on the number of Submissions entered.

DAS, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any Entry (and the corresponding Submission) from the Contest

PRIZES:

There is one prize (the Prize) available to be won, consisting of one fully set up Meridian HD 10-46 Auger with 35 HP Vanguard engine with warm air kit, Gas tank assembly, Spring-loaded belt tensioner kit, frame-mounted, 4-wheel mover kit, reversing hardware box with shifter kit, light package, shovel with frame-mounted clamp, electric clutch and an approximate retail prize value of $22,644 CAD. All characteristics and features of the Prizes, unless otherwise explicitly described above, are at DAS’s sole and absolute discretion. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by DAS in its sole and absolute discretion).  No substitutions except at DAS’s option.

SELECTION OF WINNER:

The Prize will be awarded by random draw from all eligible Contest entries received during the applicable Contest Period closing at the Ag In Motion farm expo in Saskatchewan at 5:00pm on July 21, 2016 (the “Draw”). The random draw from all qualifying entries will be made at 1:00 pm on July 28, 2016.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

As a condition of participating in this Contest, all participants, (i) agree to comply with and be bound by these Rules; and (ii) Releasees from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, any use of his/her Submission in accordance with these Rules, the participant’s participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of a Grand Prize or any portion thereof (if applicable).

The Releasees accept no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the awarding of any Grand Prize or participation in the Contest.

By participating in this Contest, each participant hereby warrants and represents that his/her Submission shall not infringe the rights of any person or entity, and that such entrant has obtained all permissions, licenses and rights required to lawfully participate in this Contest as contemplated by these Rules.

By participating in the Contest, each participant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his or her personal information submitted at the time of entry by and between: (i) the Contest Parties for the purposes of: (A) administering this Contest; (B) sending future communications and contest offers with respect to DAS products; and (C) any other purpose for which the entrant otherwise agrees. Each participant understands that by participating in the Contest he or she is under no obligation to participate in any future contests or offers and that the participant may withdraw his or her consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information at any time.
In no event will DAS be liable for more than the advertised number of Grand Prizes as stated in these Rules.
The Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations. The Contest is governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Alberta and each participant in the Contest hereby consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of Alberta for any causes or controversies arising out of the Contest. Each participant waives any and all objections to jurisdiction and venue in these courts.

In the event of a dispute, all Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. The authorized account holder is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. An entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address submitted with the Entry at issue.
All Entries and Grand Prize claims become the property of DAS, who will not be responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, falsified, or destroyed Entry Forms, Grand Prize claim documents or any other Contest-related information. The Releasees do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, human or technical error, printing errors or any combination thereof. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. DAS reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest as determined by DAS in its sole and absolute discretion. DAS reserves the right to terminate or suspend this Contest or to amend these Rules at any time without notice.
Each entrant agree to abide by these Rules and the decisions of the DAS and the Judges, which are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of entrants, Submissions and Entries.

If it is discovered that any person has attempted to: (i) obtain more than one (1) Entry per person; and/or (ii) use (or attempt to use) multiple names, identities and/or email addresses to enter the Contest; then (in the sole and absolute discretion of DAS) he/she may be disqualified from the Contest. All Entries are subject to verification at any time. DAS reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity, eligibility or compliance with these Rules (in a form acceptable to DAS – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) to participate in this Contest. Failure to provide such proof in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to: the Entry Form and/or point of sale, television, print or online advertising; the terms and conditions of these Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
