Wheat School: What’s the Best Way to Bump Spraying Capacity?

With a tight spray window and lots of ground to cover, farmers are always on the hunt for ways to cover more acres in a day. In a pinch, many will simply go faster, and, while that does work, it’s not without increased risks or potential reduced product efficacy.

Instead, Tom Wolf, sprayer specialist and special guest of RealAgriculture.com’s Wheat School, suggests some thought and planning be put in to the big-picture efficiency of your spraying operation. A few options to consider: wider booms or added on-board capacity, quicker fill times and more. As Wolf says in this video, if you’ve invested in product and specific nozzles, it’s worth the extra effort to spray precisely, even when time is tight.
