In the first part of our interview with MAFRI Cereal Specialist Pam de Rocquigny we spoke about some of the critical elements involved in seeding winter wheat:
1. What kind of stubble you’re going to seed into.
2. How deep you should seed.
3. Weed and volunteer crop control.
In this episode, we add two more elements to the list; Variety selection and nitrogen management. Pam takes us through some of the reasoning behind variety selection and also touches on some of the changes to the winter wheat classes. She also talks about when to apply that all important nitrogen boost.
